In the mid eighties, National Rescue carried out hundreds of tasks around Brooklands Museum. This video shows just a small hanfull of them from between 1985 and 1988.

  • Andy, have you got any film of the Wellingotn bomber coming out of the lake in Scotland and its return to Brooklands?

  • Sorry to say although I was involved in the recovery of just about every other Brooklands Aircraft, that one was just a couple of months before I was asked to get involved. There was a short film made of it by Aerospace as I recall, but best thing is to ask Brooklands Museum, they may well have it in the shop on DVD.

  • Lucky !!!!!! Those bloody jobs cost me a fortune in wages fuel, wear and tear etc.. But in fairness we did have some fun and we also learnt to think 'outside the box' on a few of those jobs.
