This is simply a few minutes from a light sailing day on the Hudson River, between Stony Point and Bucanan.
The boat is a 1973 22 foot O'Day. It has a 700 pound fixed keel, shoal draft of an inch shy of two feet, and a displacement of 2,086 pounds. It is easily trailerable behind my 1988 Volvo 240 wagon, sleeps four, has a sink, stove, and enclosed head. The boat is self-righting, and with sufficient built-in floatation to be unsinkable if holed. They say... I haven't tried it!
The outboard is a 1980 Seagull 5 H.P. Silver Century long-shaft, which weighs 44 pounds.
