Tried this today with 2 inch half square triangles. Perfect pinwheels. I wish I could have your written instructions. I made some notes while watching. This is a great technique and I can't believe how well they came together. Thanks so much.
Very nice tutorial! Nice job explaining the pin wheel. Sewing doesn't come easy for me and I struggle but I still love it and any tips really helps me. I hope you make more videos!
@llm161 Because it's easier to control the seam on top with your fingers or a stilletto than it is to control the bottom seam. By making the bottom go down, it just naturally stays in place as you sew the seam because it's going with the flow.
You did very well explaining. My question is (and I've seen this in many tuturials) why make the seam face up so that you have to fight with it when you get to the stitching? Why not make the top go down and the bottom go up? I'm sure there is a reason since most do it like you do but I've wondered.
You did a really nice job of explaining this. Having such a close camera angle helped us see what you were doing as well. Thanks for sharing this with us.
well I have been fighting with fabric all day trying to get my centers to match. This looks like a great trick and I cannot wait to try it. Thanks for making this video, it looks easy!
