A selection of favourites from organist extraordinaire Mr Len Rawle, performing on the mighty Woking Wurlitzer at the Woking Beer Festival, November 2009
@alijanlondon I apologise, if my rather heavy-handed brand of humour failed to hit the mark! Condescension was not intended. (I thought that my comment was sufficiently extreme that it would not be taken seriously. I suppose it's always a dangerous thing to attempt humour, in writing. Next time, I'll add a :)!)
@Offshoreorganbuilder why the condescending remark? Len was quite clearly enjoying himself and so were the crowd. Did you ever see so many younger people enjoying a sing song and to a theatre organ before? It might not be to every organ fan's taste, but to me, it's good use of the organ. Makes a refreshing change to the often snobbish attitude of organ societies and fans which has done so much damage in this country.
Clearly, the clientel were from the very highest circles of society, and much appreciated the musical feast on offer. Full marks to Mr. Rawle, under such trying circumstances.
