christianity and biology is like gasoline and matches, the biology is the match and the gasoline is christianity, put them together and the gas burns away

@ThreeSixtydroid actually, they dont all have the same ocean touching it but thats besides the point, one flood means one layer and if it is responsible for the fossil record then all the animals and non-mobile sponges etc would be mixed, this is not up for debate, this is simple fact, period, get over it
-
"Second, the very FACT the column is interrupted PROVES THE GLOBAL FLOOD DIDN'T HAPPEN. If a global flood created all the layers, and covered the whole earth, then the layers should be the same everywhere."
No it shouldn't... Do all the beaches look the same around the earth? They all have the same ocean touching it.
-
One other interesting fact Floppyjoe.
First, no reputable geologists says or even expects the geologic column to exist completely uninterrupted in every single location on earth. For the reasons I stated earlier. The only ones making the claim it should be uninterrupted are the creationists.
Second, the very FACT the column is interrupted PROVES THE GLOBAL FLOOD DIDN'T HAPPEN. If a global flood created all the layers, and covered the whole earth, then the layers should be the same everywhere.

Having said all that, you WILL find the complete uninterrupted geologic column in many places on earth.
For example:
In north dakota, W. H. Hunt Trust Estate Larson #1 will in Section 10 Township 148 N Range 101 W was drilled to 15,064 feet deep and showed the complete column. The article I read listed 25 other locations.
Google "complete geologic column talkorigins" for more references.
See Floppy, that's what I mean about producing your evidence.
-
You will also see local variations due to local conditions.
For example, you are much likely to see huge volcanic ash deposits and lava flow layers around a Volcano and much less likely to see those same deposits thousands of miles away from the nearest volcano.
That is NOT an "inconsistency" in the geologic layers. That's just reality.
-
As for the "missing" layers, that is to be expected. Most (but not all) layers are normally layed down under water, through sedimentary deposits (like shale) or activities of aquatic life (like limestone) or through normal sedimentary erosion deposits (sedimentary rock).
Techtonic plate action causes land and water levels to change. So especially around ocean shorelines, you will see a lack of layers because sometime the area was above water.
Simple.
-
Again, GIVE THE REFERENCES for these anomalys.
You simply saying it means nothing. I need to know WHERE these layers are inverted.
It is well known that there are processes like techtonic plate action, earthquakes, etc. that can locally displace the layers from the original location they were deposited. But the evidence for how they were moved is clearly visible to a trained geologist.
Without telling me where to look, I can't comment further.
-
The arrangement of the geologic column is inconsistent when viewed in different places on the earth. Sometimes supposedly older layers are found on top of supposedly newer layers and sometimes layers are completely missing from inbetween where they should be. About the only place you will find this column is in a textbook.

Did you get the SAME message when you tried to post the video? The one that says the comments were disabled?
If so, that's strange, because as you can tel I have been posting right along with you and I never saw any such thing.
I am assuming you know about the capatcha which occasionally appears where you have to type a word to continue.
Also, there's the issues I mentioned before. Sometimes it won't accept a message with a lot quoted so you have to reword it to post.

Judging by these posts it would appear that this occasionally occurs after youtube maintenance.
