This is my 1978 rx7 series 1 on Top Speeds dyno in Richmond Nelson NZ, It has a 12a peripheral port engine with the factory nikki carburator (modified a little) as the induction, When I drove it into top speed it was making 132rwhp and now it has 166rwhp and 153ft lbs torque so Im pretty happy with as these engines made about 87rwhp out of the factory, I will eventually put a 50mm injection perfection setup on it and it should gain alot more! But for now Ill put it on the strip like this and see how it goes, When the engine was extend port it was running consistant 14.4 seconds on the 1/4 and had around 110rwhp so it should go alot better now!

Hi I made the manifold to suit the carb and managed to get it sitting in the exact same position as it was originally positioned, its quite short but still making 208nm or torque at the rears so im pretty happy with that, I am going to further modify the carb in the next month and put it back on the dyno and further adjust timing as I believe there is still alot to be had out of it, See my other videos of it for a better look at the manifold

How did you mount the stock Nikki carb to the PP intake? Is it custom or did you bye it?
