  • @Bvzijverden Get an in-line filter (aka moisture trap) and place it as far down the hose as you can. I'm an airbrusher myself so I know what you mean haha.

  • I purchased a portable air compressor and read the instruction manual. It explained all of the parts, but not all of the details that expert village added. I love expert village. Thanks for the easy to understand detail. I feel much more comfortable using it now.

  • @Bvzijverden look them up on northerntool or a like website or go to a auto parts store like napa and askthem about them they should be able to help you out, there are a few kinds im no expert but i know when we spray boats its a major thing...

  • @kayakbanditfishing Hi, thanks or the reply. I think there already is an filter on there, it's a brown corky thing. But what is that what you mean ? :)

    Bob

  • @Bvzijverden get a air dryer/filter

  • Uhm question: Sometimes when I'm airbrushing, water spits out, I checked and it comes out of my compressor. I drained it ( Nothing came out, but there it condensation building up inside a polysometinh tube/container ) the draining helped a little, but still every 5 min. a small amount of water, maybe a droplet, spits out. This really destroys my artwork :(

    So what should/can I do ? It's about 1 year old...

    Thanks,

    Bob

  • are you seriously teaching use how to drain it???its so easy....

  • @kzkevin888 since you only use it two times a month, you should just open the valve on the bottom of the tank and drain it when you're done using it, then leave the valve open until your next use

only takes a few seconds to open or close the valve, why not just do it and prolong your tank's life

  • @kzkevin888 Moisture in the tank comes from the air that is being compressed in side of it. If you live in a very humid environment drain the tank more often, in a dry environment less drainings will be needed.

  • Can I not drain the tank? My air compressor is 33 gallons and take a while to fill up. I use it like one or two times a month and I was thinking of draining it once a month and not after every use. Will that harm the tank? What causes mositure in the tank? Is it like a similar concept of a water heater tank.

    Thanks
