Minnesota water is getting saltier

University of Minnesota researchers have found that the road salt that is applied to highways during winter months is running off into lakes and rivers and increasing the levels of saline in Minnesota water.

Ya, sure, you betcha, 350 thousand tons of salt added to roads of just one city (how about Duluth? Grand Rapids? Hibbing? Eveleth? Virginia? Ely? International Falls?) 300,000 TONS of salt on Mpls every year; how could they ever have thought that was RESPONSIBLE thinking?? "CIVILIZATION?" ANOTHER NAME FOR INSANITY AND ABUSE OF THE ENVIRONMENT! For the sake of LIFE in the future, save the lakes!
