Docudrama. What are they demonstrating? This is the meeting, the tension, the organizing, the frustrations. This is Mid America. Not big city. I entered the Johnson City, TN Occupy General Assembly with neutral disposition. What I saw was first, fellow Humans. Secondly, fellow Citizens of the United States of America : Each had their own thoughts, ideas, questions, feelings and beliefs, all expressing their freedom of thought and speech.

This is how the 'movement' is evolving via Mid America. Town folk. Mid city folk. This is their heart. This is their unity of division. Or, division of unity. These aren't just the 'street kooks' that the mainstream media tends to specialize in. These are the crust of the American soil. The cast of variety could not have been better chosen. These are the people trying to understand. And possibly some that know exactly what the 'movement' is all about. I let them speak for themselves.

The only phrase I spoke was "Which way will you be marching?"
I was asked by only one person who I was.
I asked for the newspaper, and paid a dollar.
Otherwise I was silent.

The large march and demonstration happened in the morning. I arrived around 2:30pm as the General Assembly Meeting was just underway. The media had all left by this point. The included march was the day's end.

Occu-servation. An Observation Expression of the Occupy movement. Each 'expression' can have double, triple or more meanings, depending on that individual's viewpoints and perspectives. This Docudrama is simply an expression. This video is a collection of 'Expressions" from October 15, 2011.

I have my thoughts, but will leave them quiet and simply let this Expression of Observation speak its own varied interpretation to anyone that chooses to see and hear it.

Thank you to the Citizens that allowed me intimate access to their Occupy Johnson City General Assembly meeting.

Videos like this I start with no preplanned thought or agenda. As I experience the moment of footage, I attempt to enter into the spirit of the surroundings.

As editing begins, it begins to unfold fresh and on its own. Musical ideas appear with the unfolding. Until it is done, I do not view what came forth.

Thus, after tweaks, I too watch it and ponder my own thoughts or interpretations.

You, the Viewer and Listener, I invite to do likewise.

May this Expression be of value to each of you in your personal observations, learnings, interpretations and understanding of the Occupy Movement - The Days of Rage.

[Johnson City, TN is a average mid-sized city. I came here to experience how the Occupy Movement is expressing itself in smaller cities. Johnson City is also known as 'Little Chicago' which I find quite interesting.

It is located in the north eastern corner of Tennessee. It grew as a railroad town and is one of the few cities in eastern Tennessee without a river, though many are nearby. It hosts East Tennessee State University. Population : approximately 63,000. wiki.)

  • Add murder, suicide, arrests, assaults, shootings, overdoses, and disease to Occupy's prior accomplishments that include a young women raped after being told to "share" a tent with a thug, a minor recruited into prostitution, a 14 year old girl victimized by a regsitered sex offender. Shame on the Obama for being the first sitting President to encourage young people to risk their life and health for his, and Acorn's, narrow political goals.

  • Frankly the chanting/repeating seems like group think to me. No thank you.

  • @chaosmucker it's common to assume that people with other opinions are misinformed. Today's misinformation factory is FOX LIES. Yes, the reserve is a huge problem but there are bigger problems still. I'm an Obama supporter who likes Ron Paul. Briefly, what would you say is the problem with the reserve ad what is it's solution?

  • My compliments to the maker of this video. Well done.

  • @tammielee123 you're sorry to see people stop being apathetic? wow...

  • Shouldn't you all be making fries somewhere? You are making a Happy Meal very sad.

  • Great video!

  • It's a shame that so many people are so brainwashed! Most all of the OWS people in all of the different locations around the world are so ignorant to the root cause of all of the problems! In order to:End the wars, end the banks corrupt agendas, etc...you have to end the main culprit:The Federal Reserve! Only a handful of people seem to know this! Most think that the Federal Reserve is owned by the Gov't...its not! Most of these people are also Obama supporters, gees! Ron Paul 2012...I'm awake!

  • I guess anything can be spun by taking what one person says. Thanks for at least TRYING to be neutral about reporting this.

  • With all due respect, it's not about Marxism. Some guy might have had his newspaper, but it wan't passed out. I didnt even see it. I didnt hear one mention of socialism or marxism. What I saw was democracy. Not everyone shares the same views. The only common thread I saw was "international corporations should not own US politics". What can we do about it. 2nd amendment protects my 1st amendment. Support the Republic against the billionaire conglomerates. That's what I am doing...
