    It would hence be a mistake to make him into the authority and measuring stick for what is the ultimate truth regarding this issue merely based on his very laudable honesty.

  • (contd.)...of "material" phenomena are simply undetectable in such way, such that the subtler senses necessary to detect them directly would be subjectively felt to be "immaterial" - using the old metaphors.

    Regarding Faqir Chand, I will have to say that he - in this very text - admits to not being established in the "turiya". That is to say he is still identified with the ahamkara (a state which is of course traditionally called "ignorance").

    Again, as I mentioned on the I-PAD version of part 1, this is driving towards the (shared by me and cittamatrins and shunyatavadins) two aspect theory by Thomas Nagel 1986.

    Truly, our ordinary ideas of what "matter" is, is obviously conditioned by the coarse approach to its nature conditioned by the limitations of brain and senses and their extensions (instruments etc.) I would think that the vast majority
