I find it fascinating that people use closed fists while playing the drumcasket. It is like they are banging on a door. And it seems a tiny bit more violent than the open hand. Since I haven't seen this piece in person, I can only imagine what it is like to actually play the thing. Do people just naturally fall into a synchronized rhythm? I would love to see this in action!
