Whether you believe this is or isn’t a war on women doesn’t matter at this point. This is how women across this country feel. The President isn’t the one who started saying this is a war on women…it is women who are saying this is a war on women. The GOP crossed the line when they decided to make reproductive rights, contraception and funding of women’s programs a political issue. They brought this on themselves and put Romney in a position where he will need to answer for this.

Frankly Ms Rosen has nothing to be apologetic for, and I´d wish she´d stick to her guns.

Romney is trying to re-focus the so called "war on women" issue by trotting out his dutiful trophy wife to mouth off on women´s plight in a "failing Obama economy". Rosen saw the obvious duplicity in this tactic noting that Romney´s pampered wife, ensconced snugly in his many luxury homes, is hardly a credible surrogate for most young women who are struggling to both earn a living and raise children.

No, you're wrong. There is a difference between "women make less money for the same work" and "women as a group on average make less then men as a group on average". Its really very simple math, even though Maddow tried to pull the sexist card when he tried to explain it. Women work less hours, take more sick days, more vacations, and retire earlier (this is just fact, sorry) when you correct for these things the gap disappears. There is no discrimination in wages between men and women.

As a woman who has worked at a male dominated job, I can personally testify that the war on women is NOT a fabrication, nor is it solely about reproductive rights, nor is it a diversion from the economic realities of americans....

This whole thing started on right-wing conservative radio stations, then was galvanized by the mainstream tv media (on both sides, of course). But why does the GOP say the government shouldn't be in our lives, but wants to mandate what women do with their doctors or how health insurance companies cover their customers?
