Freshman shortstop Kenny Diekroeger swats a solo home run during a May 9 college baseball game between the Stanford Cardinal and the Long Beach State Dirtbags. Long Beach St. won 10-5. The 6-foot-2, 200 pound shortstop was selected by the Tampa Bays in the second round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of Menlo School in nearby Atherton, California.

@jakeistite He didn't sign with the Rays, he chose Stanford and is one of the top draft prospects of 2012, his next year of eligibility.
