@patwdavis1958 I agree the hearts of the people playing and singing are for the Lord, and they do it very well, lovely voice and I wouldn't want to stop them they are doing the Lords work. I am no theologian but as I learn more myself and come to realize how awesome God is, I want to pass that on, so we can all be ready for what's coming. If we worship the Lord without bothering to do it correctly (His way) then that is arrogant, intimating to God that He should sort out the good bits. Bless you

Bless you it is good to debate and not just criticize each other. The point I was trying to make lies is what you just quoted. "and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe" what follows is what happens if we don't "for our God is an all consuming fire" Fire in the scripture is always to be feared. If we worship the Lord without bothering to do it correctly (His way) then that is arrogant, intimating to God that He should sort out the good bits.

@23mrdarcy Hebrews 12:28-29 "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.” Also, read Psalms and count how many times David repeats himself lol, he does it ALOT. So, Biblically, this song is accurate.God Bless

@23mrdarcy Jesus Culture surely isn't asking God to throw them into a lake of fire. If you don't like the idea that Christ is an "all-consuming fire," don't listen to the song. I don't find this group to be sketchy in any way, and if you watch their testimonies, it's evident that they are in pursuit of God's heart and are passionate about pointing others toward Christ. Sure, unbelievers have rejected the Spirit so God, being a God of justice, is not going to ignore that.
