My friend Dustin decided to go CSU blowthru for his Vortech V1 in his TA. Engine is a stock Vortec 350 with a cam and carb intake. Still running cast manifolds. Car has 3.73 gears. Still working the bugs out and needs to install the MSD box. Boost is only 2-3 lbs at this time, not sure if there is belt issue or what. I tried to convince him to go turbo but he had this blower already. It definitely goes good for the first day. When he gets 6-8 lbs out of it this thing will absolutely fly!

  • did you have to cut the hood for the blower tubing? Thanks

  • @jasonmac119 He had to cut the shaker scoop and it still touches the charge pipe. With the right intake and position of the hat it might clear though without cutting.

  • id love to know what carb you are using and what you had to do to tune it for the charger?

  • @chargedlt1 He's got a CSU carb on it. Not sure what size but I think around 750 cfm. It ran good but engine is now dead!

  • @zz3astro bummer ! to much boost or what happend?

  • @chargedlt1 I think he didn't bother changing the oil for the past 15k miles or something!
