also, whenever i go to file make dvd, right when it gets to the end, it says file error, file format not supported. then it cancels the burn.

please help

I need to know more details about exactly what is in your project and how you are doing things in Vegas and DVD Architect.

If you are placing videos directly into DVDA, then it only supports standard MPEG2, WMV or MP4 video - any other codecs will bomb out.

When learning DVDA - start with a very basic project before getting fancy.

Buy some DVD-RW discs so you can experiment without wasting discs.

You are using the most basic version of Vegas Movie Studio - it is extremely limited and I do not recommend it for anyone. I have a comparison video on my channel right now explaining all this.

If you want to make DVD's, then you need the Platinum Version.

I suggest you watch the comparison video I made and upgrade to Production Suite if you can.

Amazon US and Amazon UK sell it ridiculously cheap at the moment.

I am trying a Trail download of DVD Architect Studio to see how things go

I was using Nero Vision to make DVD but had an issue with this

Vagas Sudio HD Pro is still very slow form me but Ok otherwise

What is the exact message that DVDA is giving you?

I think that "unsupported format" is referring ot something else.

It wouldn't be rendering the video if it couldn't read the videos you are using in the project. So something else is going on.

Do you have the Project Properties set properly in DVDA ?

Is it set to DVD? Make sure it is not set to BluRay.

Do you have the right kind of DVD Burner installed on your computer?
