Caves of Steel was great but I actually found The Naked Sun to be an even better experience. It could make a great movie (and talk about a great use for 3D!).

Caves of Steel and Foundation both in pre-production - just do some googling...

@zvermilyer3 Are you KIDDING ME? Bicentennial Man was TERRIBLE! It made me want to PUKE ALL OVER THE PLACE. It was nothing like the book, nothing! *barfs all over*
ahem. I'm fine...

"Bicentennial Man" is one I never got around to seeing. Your recommendation is what I needed to perk my interest, though. I'll check my library; not going to ask the GF to use up any of her Netflix for this (seeing how both "Barbarella" and "Quest for Fire" bombed with her).

You think Hollywood can't make a good Asimov movie? Have you seen "Bicentennial Man" starring Robin Williams? That's based on an Asimov story and I (who have been an Asimov fan since I was a little kid) thought it was pretty good.

Foundation might be cool, but there's already a movie franchise which is a combination of Asimov's _Foundation_ and Burroughs' _Barsoom_, with a touch of Herbert's _Dune_ thrown in: _Star Wars_.

@SailorBarsoom You're absolutely right! No blockbusters of Asimov's stories. What would you think of The Foundation? That would be great!

Silly Hyperwave Drama!

You know what H-wood would do if they made a movie out of CoS: the robots would be creepy, there would be several martial arts fights, a few gunfights, some car crashes, and at the end, the murderer would be a robot who hates human beings.
The Three Laws would turn out to be either e-vile corporate spin or e-vile government conspiracy.
I'm thinking maybe the movie moguls need to just keep their mits off of Asimov. I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of this, though.
