Hi your amazing! So i have a solid sterling silver Germeihardt and i am just wondering if this is a good flute? I listen to other people and they have a cool, silvery tone but mine is a warm tone. My teacher says it comes with time but i just can't seem to get it. Can you help me please? Thank you!!!! =)

Oh my goodness you just saved my life... Ive been having a heck of a time getting my lower octave to play with a strong sound and putting the flute on my chin made a HUGE improvement... Thanks so much!! :)

@wladi1971 Go to Jennifer Cluff site and look up Articles about flute alignment. I'll send you the link. :-)
I am having so much trouble getting any good tone out of my Flute. I've tried everything but nothing seems to change, i have no sweet spot!. I do have a bit of an overbite, could that be affecting my tone? Help?

@20001854 I don't think your bite would cause that much problem. Were you able to get a good sound but now you can't? If so, is your flute broken? Feel free to sign up for a web lesson - otherwise it is impossible for me to help just over email.

Hi Nina,
I am a jazz saxophonist learning the flute. Whilst practising long tones i find my sweetspot then glance at my tuner and im very sharp, i have the head joint pulled out about half a cm, is there a standard distance to pull the head joint out ? or after building up more strength they will become more in tune? I have also received advice to "stick my jaw out" when forming the embourchure, and to stick it out further to get higher notes (rather then blowing harder) - is this necessary?

@georgegrantjazz I'm not hearing and seeing you but I would guess your flute is too high on the lip. Lower it, roll out and blow INTO the flute. You can also sign up for a web lesson if you want, details on my website realfluteproject
