Late afternoon on May 1, 2010, firefighters got dispatched to Shirley Dr for a reported porch fire. As companies left the station, they notified fire alarm they could see a column of smoke from a distance and ordered the working fire.

Upon arrival, they had a fully involved house and ordered a 2nd alarm.

Shortly after their arrival, live powerlines came down on Engine 1, causing a serious situation.

It took about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.
