Korg EMX-1 with Logic Pro - DnB/Trance Tune.mov

This is a new track ive been playing around with created mainly in Logic but for this video i perform certain parts 'live' via my EMX and a keyboard. The video contains both a performance and a screen recording of the Logic project. To top it off i add a few bits and bobs from my kaoss pad.

I also love the way the slight delay in the video makes me look like when im jigging about ive got no sense of timing hahaha.

hi mate, thought you might know the answer to this question:

is there anyway of me getting the audio off my korg emx 1 and recording it into logic so i can export it as a wav or mp3 and upload it places, 'cuz i have no idea how to export songs on here, cheers man, sick tune as well x

@jamesman13579 Hey. you can do it by connecting the outputs of the EMX-1 into the Mac via a audio interface or it is possible to plug it right into the audio in of the the Mac. Once you've done that go into Logic and set a track to record which ever input you chose to use, arm it to record and go ahead and record it. Once you've recorded it, clean it up some if you need and then export as wave or mp3. Was this what you were asking?

Ok maybe you can answer this: I have Logic Studio 9, a KP3 and K01. I want to take what I create in my linked KP3 and K01 and record them live as I create them into Logic. How exactly do I record them or them to send the audio via an American DJ Versaport?

I'm extremely new to the world of Logic and using my kp3 but I figure you would know.

@slapgnuts Thanks for bearing with me, ive got a whole stack of Uni work on my desk! before i try and answer your question let me see if ive got this right. Your using your Kaosspads to create 'noise' and you want to record that into logic?? Or are you wanting to control stuff using Midi?

can you use a midi keyboard to control the emx for a bigger note range+i perfer to play on keys rather than buttons.

Eyh darlow niceee music but i have a problem too and maybe you can answer !

i'm french so my english is bad ! i have a korg emx like you, the blue one and i want to take the sound from this machine and put it in logic ! when i touch something i want logic react and have the same sound as my korg EMX1 ! i just want to see my music on logic, i've tried everything but nothing work.. help :) thank's and great great music !

Basically I want to be able to record what ever I create on my KP3 into Logic.

The MIDI application is easy to configure for me, but trying to get the stuff I create directly into Logic without the use of a mixing board has been elusive.

Is there something that would make this easier and is the American DJ Versaport the answer I'm looking for?
