Fast Linux boot with full gnome-desktop, compiz, chrome browser & gnome-terminal. Don't trust videos running in virtualbox, they are inaccurate as after one boot, system is being run from memory and not from disk!

  • This is awesome, I can't wait until I get a SSD for my laptop cuz I'm running linux n shit like that. That booted up soo fast. :D

  • gentoo, good choice of distrubution, its one of my favorites :D

  • What's the name of music ?

  • specs?

  • omg, if linux works on windows, i would pay alot ofr that speed

  • I recently got my SSD drive. I can boot about this fast. But I was thinking, if I compile all I can into the kernel and optimize some boot parameters, it could probably get to somewhere around 5 seconds from just after GRUB2 loads the kernel to the desktop (not counting user login).

  • Arch FTW!

  • 9 second boot ...that was nice (TRAFFIC)

  • that was sick ;).. that guy knows what to do lol...
