A natural way to get rid of fleas is to sprinkle salt or a product called Borax on carpets, allow the fleas to dry out, and then vacuum after a few days. Eliminate fleas in a house without using chemicals by following instructions from a certified exterminator and arborist in this free video on pest control.

  • I am curious about getting rid of the fleas off the dogs, not the carpet. Also, I am in So America and their flea products are almost 5 times the cost than those of the US. I also have 7 dogs so buying commercial products are out of the question. HELP!!!

  • @alm260 Yeah, it's best to try any natural remedies first, since they can save a lot of money, and in some cases, would work better than any commercial flea product (some of which has chemicals that are harmful if swallowed by your dog btw.)

  • If Borax can cut fleas, it might cut human lungs if inhaled. I would stay away from Borax until learning more about its safety.
