@rewards007 Rooting gives you complete access over your phone and makes it capable of getting ROMs and other hacks. And if you flash a custom ROM then that Virgin Mobile sound will be replaced with the one that the ROM comes with, or your own custom one. Can this phone function as a PMP if I were wanting to buy a good no contract smartphone, but not activate the actual service?

@4ndroidtech Thank you very much! When I do get this, as far as performance and functionality with the hardware of the phone, which ROM do you recommend, the built in ROM or perhaps one on your website?

@blitzinator I would recommend the CM7 TG Reloaded ROM(off my website), this allows you to overclock your phone, get WIFI tethering, get Android 2.3, and much more! Be sure to create an account on the site and join the community:)
