Our group wanted to form a collective that was interactive, but also involved the use of public spaces. Our collective group was made entirely of students who wish to express themselves through interactive art forms. We wanted to participate in art and events that would affect our emotions and that we would be able to relate to. Because the collective is made up of only students, many views that we hold are also shared with other individuals who participate in generally the same daily routines that we do. We decided to name the collective 'The School of Fighting Bettafish.'

The students partaking in 'The School of Fighting Bettafish' decided our first art movement would involve a belief that we all had a strong opinion about at that time; the fact that winter was dragging on. We all thought something should be done about Mother Nature. Just like some artistic groups, like propaganda artists (for example, the Obey campaign), who created art against a strong belief, The School of Fighting Bettafish created art because we had a strong belief about the length of winter. We decided an Event Score would focus our attention to the task of this interactive art.

Our Event Score was based upon how other event scores were presented. Clear, simple, easy to follow steps were written out. Just like the Fluxus group had created Event Scores in the 1960s, we had mimicked that method because we thought that adding to our interactive art with an Event Score seemed fitting. Our Event Score is as follows:

Killing Winter
1. Find Winter
2. Locate snow covered field
3. Paint tropical paradise
4. Accessorize
5. Bask
