This is a video I made on the trip to the Mississippi Delta with a friend. We found the crossroads where Robert johnson sold his soul to the devil, a frog farm, a haunted restaurant and Natchez, MS, and a few other oddities.
This legend of the crossroads was greatly exaggerated as time went on. Back in those days, the vast majority of Mississippi Delta folks were uneducated, superstitious and prone to think irrationally. But if people insist on believing in this myth, I say let them have their cookies. Who are we to take that from them? Fundamentally, we all have a primal desire to believe in something that is beyond our realm.
