Since everyone is saying the brightness is turned up, SSAO is turned off. There. Stop complaining. No freaking gamma turned up, this map is 'bedroomDAY.map' for a REASON. Also, SSAO makes the object edging darker.

as the monster breaks the barrel at 0:19, practically EVERY SINGLE barrel is destroyed, even towards a wall, a drawer, or a cabinet, and movable furniture (drawers, chairs, cabinets) acts wacky. that's why absolutely no movable furniture is left after the lag. so, can the HPL engine process all of the physical interactions in one go? not really.
