Cool, replying to a comment I made a long time ago. And how do you figure I'll get my ass kicked for saying that they suck ass? For one thing, they suck ass... so I won't go to their show.
Say what you want online all day if it makes you happy, but this shit isn't music. It isn't artistic, it isn't enjoyable to listen to, it isn't inspirational, it's lacking emotion and it's just fucking terrible. I've heard nails on chalk board make better music.

...Oh wow. I was actually at this show with my dad (he prefered Boris, lol). This was just a couple of months before he died. Its a really good memory I have of being with him and its kinda cool to find this vid here.
By the way, Sunn is awesome to see live.

I think it's partially the fact that when someone records them and puts it on YouTube, the sound is so horribly distorted that the effect is lost. You really need to BE there to experience. That's what it is; an experience; a physical presence, not only something to listen to. Sure there's a lot of pretence, but what music doesn't? If people don't enjoy it then too bad; don't tell us about it.

I still find it strange that people are so offended by Sunn - everyone seems mortified by the notion that music without structure can still be classified as music. Just because it's only a few notes being played does not mean it is not art; it's an atmosphere that is being created. if nobody gets the concept of an atmosphere then that's their problem - personally i love Sunn.

Regardless of your opinion, I to am open to all that you have labelled as "shit" music, and many forms of ambient and otherwise non profit making music.
