Great video! Am just getting into plying my own yarns for my weaving, and your video was a big help.

A knot on the end! DUH! My first attempt came undone, because I didn't knot the end.

Very nice, but don't the fabrics warp when knitted as you are not plying from singles.. the yarns you are using are already 'balanced' and when you z-ply them, doesn't that 'unbalance' them?

It is an Ashford Traditional. I can't get the tension right. The bobbin keeps falling off. I keep trying to plug away but I have had to walk away more than once from it.

ok..so I have been looking into getting me a spinning wheel..but Im new at how to do all the different things, for instance, once I get my wheel, can I just pick 2 random colors of yarn from my stash and put them together? or could I use more? (see, I know nothing right now lol) Also, where do you buy the "unspun" wool? Is it sold in stores or is it something I have to order online? Apologize for all the questions, just really curious and ready for some answers lol Thank u so much :)

@CrysalisHooper Yes you can ply two colors of yarn together. You can ply 3 colors together as well. You could use as many as your heart imagines. Unspun wool is called "roving" or "top" or "batts" or "locks" depending on what form you want it in. You can buy unspun wool at a local Sheep and Wool Festival, or a spinning shop. Or you can find it online on sites like ETSY and Artfire.

@officermom50 the wheel is an Ashford Country Spinner. You can purchase one online or thru any Ashford dealer.
