Nice montage.

@trt524 Did the Impressions record this as a remake? I'll have to check out Walter Jackson's version.

@royhaworth You are absolutely right. This happened with the Friends of Distinction. The record execs often decide. I remember playing the flip side of We're A Winner - this song a lot, when my sister bought the song. A lot of good B-sides have gone unnoticed: this song, I Found That Girl (J5), because of the decisions made by idiot record execs. I guess they did not want to pay the artists their real worth, even though, I believe Curtis owned his masters.

Curtis voice always takes me back a much simpler place and time.

You can't go wrong with any Impressions, especially when Curtis Mayfield was in the group. Once Curtis Mayfield left the group, it just wasn't the same....

Very true!
Even though the material the Impressions cut with Leroy Hutson as lead were great in my opinion, you just couldn't replace Curtis Mayfield as lead vocalist and producer/songwriter with his friends/groupmates. I guess good friends do make the best music, huh?

Why wasn't this an A-side? Wonder if it was ever used in a film? Would be great background music for break-ups in movies.

I strongly agree.
