  • A multi-million dollar renevation of the bridge is planned.

  • @jeffdarga100 It is scaary to look at that thing from the underside. All the rusted metal. I kayak on the Charles. Most of the bridges are a mess. It is amazing that they were let go for so long.

  • Now the Longfellow bridge is a lot slower these days with all the construction 10 code from the Kendall Portal till the southern "Salt 'n' Pepper Towers which the 25 code resumes.

  • I remember that when I was making this video the sidewalk was shaking as the train went by. Not good. Then, looking at the underside of the bridge from the Boston shore one sees all rust. It's, or was, scary. Makes me wonder if it is safe to have multiple trains on that thing at the same time. Somebody told me that the support in the middle of the bridge is better than out by the sidewalks. That's good, I guess. Hope that somebody knows what they are doing.
