I bought this golf kart for 100 bucks and added a 6.5hp engine from Harbor Freight for 99 dollars. Easy to do. Only thing is no reverse unless you add a tranny. I making it easy. You can also get an electric golf cart and keep it electric but put a small gas engine and a alternator to charge the batteries when they start getting low. Just add a electric start engine and when the volt meter gets low you just turn on the gas motor and let it charge while you ride. That will be my next project after this one. You can put bigger motors on the golf cart but im not looking for anything extreme. Just something to cruz around.

  • Well is it done yet?

  • where did you order your sprocket from to match splins on rear end.

  • nice gun and hand cuffs

  • hey MIchael i have done this to my golf cart. you need to take the old gear and weld another piece of tubing to it. And if it was electric make sure you change the gears or it will go 1 mph.

  • HI. I have a club car frame andI want to puchase a small sprocket on the diferential. How r ataching the sporcket the existing gear to the rear axle. That is the only thing I need to figure out to finish my projct.

    Thanks,

    Michael
