This video is a compilation of clips I shot at Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland combined with the song 'Nature Vs. Nurture' from my 1st album Question Everything. I thought the song would go well with the videos because the it asks the question, 'why do people kill each other?', that ran throught my mind as I walked through the camp. I am interested in this question from a phenomological perspective. We already know that it is a combination/dialectic of nature and nurture and not an either/or answer in most cases. However, in cases like the holocaust where a sociologically collective consciousness commits such acts then different phenomenological questions can be raised as to nature vs. nuture. Watch the video, listen to the song, and let me know what you think,
peace and love

  • an honest life's work = following your inner muse, regardless of popular opinion.

  • thank you, that's exactly what I like to think of it, peace...

  • Thank you for your comment. I want to share a funny synchronicity with you about something you mentioned. In creating my 3rd album i have become more conscious of the fact that alot of my earlier music is fucking depressing just as you suggested about the video. It finally hit me in a new way why I don't like to do shows. Uhhhh, because most of music isn't exactly conducive to people drinking and having a good time, ha ha. Anyway, I think my next album should have a lighter side to it =)

  • Just keep it intelligent as you've always done my man - I know you've got a sarcastic side as well. There are far too few artists out there like you, I look forward to the new album.

  • The juxtaposition hits home and forces me to think. This is what makes the song and images brilliant , and is also the reason it will never resonate with the masses.

    Fuck that it depressing.

Thing is, I know you don't do it for the many, you do it for the one - the one guy that may hear it and wake up.

In the mean time, those of us who already get it love what you are doing. Keep up the good fight.

  • Very cool...these video clips and the lyrics and beat compliment each other great. I wish I could answer your question...I'll have to ponder it more Watching these clips reminded me of my visit to the Killing Fields in Cambodia where I pondered the same thoughts.
