  • What kind of rubber do you use to hold it on your chest? I think I might want to try doing it like this instead of having to get spotters.

  • @DonaldShim It's a mini band from Jump Stretch or EliteFts. I double it and it fit's pretty tight.

  • Good sets, very strong. I enjoy training with boards too, great way to strengthen the lockout and general endurance with heavy weights.

I think you need to set those pins a little higher though for board pressing, because if you fail it looks like it isn't going to touch them, unless you have a spotter there in which case they could pick up 1 end and get it off of you as is. Good job nonetheless.

  • @DonaldShim Thanks. The pins are set just above chest height when I lose my arch. They have saved me before.

  • Boards are each 1 1/2" thick (2x6 lumber).

  • @TModi Oh I see, awesome setup then. I have a rack like that too, I usually have a spotter hold the board for me, I might have to try your setup with the rubber bands, I really dig it. I built my own boards out of waffle and particle board in 1 inch increments. That way I can make gradual transitions to smaller boards.

  • Hi, I've just starting doing board presses, how thick are the boards you use?

  • Good choice of music =P
