Nostalgia Critic -- EXCLUSIVE ONE-ON-ONE FOOTAGE!

Having already spent so much time talking to him in the U-Con at UCONN dealer's room (seriously, I spent a good three hours with him there), I never thought that he'd be accommodating enough to invite me to dinner! But he was, and I got to spend even more time with him, away from the crowds and at a place where I was able to ask every question I ever had about him.

I really got to know the man during this time. I learned about his history, what inspired him for his shows, what he wants to do in the future, and even what I can do to join his site! Doug is an incredibly humble, kind person who really cares about his fans, and I hope this video shows some of that. I would have loved to get even more footage, but my camera was acting up, but I seriously did spend several hours with him on Friday and Saturday.

After eating, we went to watch the "Space Mutiny" episode of MST3K, which is one of Doug's favorite episodes and also a large inspiration for his Nostalgia Critic show. After that, we went to the game room, hoping to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl together, but nobody had brought a Wii. The con book lied to us!

Coming up in the next video, watch as Doug Walker effortlessly kicks every challenger's ass at Marvel Vs. Capcom 2! Is there nothing this man cannot do?

(note: despite some awkward moments, Doug was NOT bothered by me in any way. He continued to hang out with me and offer to play games that evening, then asked me to help him with his Reverand Nutt Job sketch, and finally had me taking photos of him with fans, even getting to sit next to his dealer's table. If I bothered him so much, like some comments will have you believe, he wouldn't have kept asking me to stay with him, nor would he have given me the biggest hug EVER when I told him I had to leave, and he seemed genuinely sad to see me go)

I get this a lot, though. To each their own, but I know that Doug is fine with me, as we still correspond from time to time. I'm even thinking of making a show that they could pick up for the site.
