There's traffic in the sky and it doesn't
Seem to be getting much better
Kids are playing games on the pavement;
drawing waves on the pavement...
shadows of the planes on the pvement, mm hmm.
It's enough to make me cry.
I can't see that it'll make it much better.
Maybe it's a dream & if I scream, it'll burst at the seams.
The whole thing'll fall into pieces and then they'll say...

Well, how could we have known? I'll tell them that
it's not so hard to tell, no...no...no...
You keep adding stones and soon the water will
be washed in the well... mm hmm....

Puzzle pieces in the ground;but no one seems to be digging.
Instead they're looking up towards the heavens
With their eyes on the heavens; shadows of the way
to the heavens, mm... hmm...
It's enough to make me cry. I can't see that it'll make it feel better.
Answers can be found; we can learn from digging down.
But no one seemes to be digging. Instead they say...

Words of wisdom all around but no one seems to listen.
They're talkin' 'bout their plans on the paper; drawing up fom the pavement;
Shadows of the scrapers from the pavement, mm... hmm.
It's enough to make me sigh; I can't see how it'll make me feel better.
Words are all around but the worlds are only sounds.
No one seems to listen. Insteard they say...
