Wachenroder (Sega Saturn JPN) - Intro & Gameplay

Wachenroder is a Japan only Strategy RPG from Sega. It features a steam punk setting and one of my favorite videogame soundtracks of all time.

Shown here is the intro movie and a very small clip of gameplay. Not shown is the ability to charge up your attacks to do more damage, but risk overheating. Do not pass this game up due to the language barrier. There is a brilliant translation FAQ of the whole game available over at gamefaqs from gar3.

maybe so ..but this game is perfectly playable for us non speakers aswell. because there is a translation on the net.. every bit of text and speech translated.. a little inconvenient to look up everything but this way you can really enjoy the game i know i did just google it shouldnt be hard to find

I know now where they took the most of the ideas for the game final fantasy VII, look at the graphic style and the train ect and listen closly the sound... it is like a bit Final Fantasy... don't you thing so?
