No, you are mistaken again. What ever you may think and what ever you may perceive, the hyena is not a dog, but it's own unique species, the Hyaenidae.
This is from the San Diego Zoo website.
"Hyenas are not members of the canid (dog) or felid (cat) families. Instead, they are so unique that they have a family all their own, Hyaenidae."

You are mistaken. The hyena is not part of the dog (canine) family. It has its own bizarre sub-species more closely related to a mongoose. Do some research.
It's pretty obvious a lion is a cat. It ain't no fish.
