Code Pink San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara reject John McCain's recent statement that he supports offshore oil drilling, in a protest at sea. What nerve he has to come to Santa Barbara, where the oil spill of 1969, one of the most destructive oil spills ever, kicked off the environmental movement. Members of Code Pink rented two sailing yachts, a sound system, brought their banners, and made their presence felt at the more than $1,000 a plate dinner in Hope Ranch at which McCain spoke.

  • Change the world one electric car at a time! Stop using oil for moral, economic and political good of our country and the world. Make the effort!

  • you go girl!

  • Thats the left blame someone else.

  • McCain's got a nerve lecturing about the environment to the people of Santa Barbara, site of one of the worst oil spills in history. Any lip service offered to the Santa Barbara community by McCain will be long forgotten if he is elected (selected?) in November (God forbid). Anyone who's enjoyed the last 8 years of wholesale treason, corruption, state sponsored terror and big brotherism will love McCain. He is owned by the Neocons will continue their agenda of war and destruction for big oil.
