Les trois exils de Christian E. raconte l'histoire rocambolesque de Christian Essiambre dont l'enfance est enracinée dans le petit et irréductible village de McKendrick, dans le nord du Nouveau-Brunswick. De ses vies inventées au pays de l'enfance il passe à celle plus concrète d'un étudiant de théâtre à Moncton, puis au quotidien fictif de Tom Pouce au Pays de la Sagouine, pour se retrouver au milieu d'un Montréal à apprivoiser. Une histoire d'exils et de passages, où défile toute une galerie de personnages, comme autant de variations sur une même identité.

C'est un véritable morceau de bravoure, tant dans le propos que dans la performance que livre Christian Essiambre, servi par une mise en scène de Philippe Soldevila d'une précision diabolique. C'est assurément l'une des meilleures pièces de la saison 2010-2011 à Québec. Éric Moreault, Le Soleil



Philippe Soldevila and Christian Essiambre joined forces to write this tale of an unordinary Acadian off to conquer the world. Les trois exils de Christian E. is loosely based on the life of Christian Essiambre who grew up in the small village of McKendrick in northern New Brunswick. It is in this paradise lost that the main character draws on for inspiration and conjures up the heros in his life. Christian E. shares with the audience, the experiences of his voluntary migration; a story of expatriation with its own cast of characters.

After the two performances at l'Escaouette, the cast and crew will tour 10 New Brunswick communities along with stops in Ottawa and in the province Quebec.
