Music Video for "Signals" by the Jack Curtis Dubowsky Ensemble.
Available on the CD Jack Curtis Dubowsky Ensemble I.
(c) + (p) 2008 De Stijl Music (BMI)

Jack Curtis Dubowsky: Roland Jupiter 6, Washburn Bantam Headless Electric Bass
Fred Morgan: Drums

Recorded live in studio without overdubs.
This is only two people, playing live!

This track begins with an extended solo cadenza on Roland Jupiter 6 analog synthesizer.
The lights you see in this video are the lights from the Roland Jupiter 6.
From about 5:53 you will also see the lights from a Roland TR 808.
The 808 was not used in this recording, but it looked good for the video!

Directed, shot, and edited by Jack Curtis Dubowsky.

"Signals" refers to the telegraphic sounds of the analog synthesizer, the flashing LED indicators of its myriad controls, the automobile lights, and the traffic signals. The human environment is littered with signals which are overlooked, ignored, or merely add to a collage of light and sound which is either beautiful or a din of light and noise pollution.

I like the way the bass strings come in and fade out each time the bass is initially hit... cool visualization.
