Built during America's Bicentennial year of 1976, the Corkscrew roller coaster at Cedar Point proudly displays its patriotic red, white and blue colors as it takes its guests upside down not once, not twice, but three times in approximately two minutes! Onlookers stand in awe as the Corkscrew gracefully turns its passengers upside down directly over the midway. When it opened, Corkscrew was the first roller coaster ever to span a midway and was the first triple-looping scream machine in the world.
The Corkscrew gave 1,016,609 looping rides in 2006 and more than 54 million since it opened 31 years ago. Guests must be at least 48 inches tall to ride.
@FrigginEngineer I agree...when I think of CP...I think of the image of the Corkscrew.

@XxLeGiT123xX Yeah, kindof what I was thinking. I didn't think that it got much tamer at Cedar Point than the Iron Dragon. This looks like it probably beats Iron Dragon in relaxation.

@FrigginEngineer Isn't the Gemini further back than the Mean Streak though? Both of them are in no man's land. ALLLL the ay on the other side of the park.

Poor ol' Mean Streak tucked away back there in no-man's-land. I can actually see that thing being torn down before too long, especially since Cedar Point is...well...out of room, lol.
I like the helix at the end of Gemini...Intense!
