Interesting video, but I really find it quite offensive that anorexia nervosa is so often attributed to a desire to be beautiful. Perhaps this is true for some people, but there are also individuals with histories of anorexia nervosa, me included, who restricted food and over-exercised because they found life too difficult to cope with. It was a sort of slow suicide. I knew I looked as repulsive as those women in the paintings when I was severely anorexic but I didn't care. I was mentally ill.

In a sea of faces, will you remember theirs? Will you know what they like? They are merely people passing by so to change yourself for a stranger or even someone you know, seems kind of silly. This is my bit for those who change their external appearances because they want to feel internally beautiful. I don't know much about those who use weight as a method of coping.

Love me as I am. When you feel inadequate and change so easily, will you ever be happy with you? Will you still be satisfy today? Tomorrow? How about twenty years from now? You are a being that will be loved if you let yourself be loved. Your body is precious. Take good care of it. Don't satisfy those who can't or won't give you the love or respect you deserve. Let it be their problem and don't make it yours. It's not easy, but you didn't come into this world with them so think about it.
