Trying the Silverlit helicopter outside. Suffered two problems, firstly the sun came out from behind the clouds and confused the IR sensor immediatley putting it into full power, the wind then caught it and it ended up on the house roof, before rolling off and hitting the ground. (still works)

  • How high can it fly? Maybe 3 meters or is that too far away from the remote control?

  • @Fantasmo81 Not sure how high yet .. the problem here was a slight wind and bright sunlight (confuses the IR remote control). Indoors I've had it approx 5 meters from remote and it's been OK. I'm waiting for a dry dull non windy day to test outside again :)

  • @Fowleys Thank you for your reply. I'm knew to this helicopter thing...I believe infrared helis are not so good for outdoor things?! I would try to make some shots outside maybe from above my house, but maybe for this another type of heli would be better?!

  • @Fantasmo81 You're right - I think for mainly outdoor use a RF heli would be better.

  • @Fowleys Ok, thank you for your recommendation. I will watch out for these kind of helis when I buy one.

  • Haha, as soon as it reached the roof....gone.
