All Brand No Flakes recently launched the new 60 second PG Glass TV commercial on South African screens. Produced and directed by Suburban Films, it highlights and celebrates the inseparable role of glass in our everyday life.
PG have typically used a 'hard sell' approach in their TV commercials, however this commercial shows a variety of vignettes where glass is the star.
The aim of the ad is to reinforce the strong brand presence that PG has enjoyed for over 100 years. The ad seeks to build a strong emotional connection with the viewer through both the use of the soundtrack (a timeless classic - Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World") with a series of diverse scenes showcasing the different glass products in daily use.
Alex Levetan, ABNF's Creative Director, says: "PG play such a large part in our daily lives, yet we take their products for granted. Imagine your world without glass, without exaggerating, you would not be able to function. Our task at ABNF was to produce a piece of work which both us and all the PG people would be proud of, and that viewers would want to watch."
