I have respect for Blitzer. He tries to remain dispassionate because that's the journalistic ideal. You're not there to convey emotion or opinion. Having said that I do consider Cafferty one of my heroes.

senor: You're probably right. In the 19th century we had the Yellow Press and I guess now we've got a plethora of tabloid news programs that either exaggerate hot-button issues for ratings, or are grossly partisan (posing as impartial).
If we have confidence in the average citizen, we must belive he's able to sort through the BS and make the right choices most of the time.
I'm just getting tired of the hyperbole. Calling people "fascists" and "dictators" when the term doesn't really apply.

I think Cafferty is using a bit of hyperbole when he says we're in a "full dictatorship." Cut Jack some slack. He just wants us to be on our toes so we don't slip into a police state where everything you do is monitored.

Read up on the news. A number of these plans were in the works from long before 9/11. I just hope we get someone in the presidency that will expose all this nonsense and get these guys.
