Well here we have a green waste MJ GenV doing the garbage in my area because one of the new Raptors was broken down, I see a tradition continuing!

The driver of this truck was definately probably the best driver tied with the Lake Macquarie driver that I have ever met! A massive thanks to him for doing a fantastic job and here is the video that I promised him that I would upload. He told me that he would be looking forward to seeing the video so here it is.

I had a good talk to the driver and he said these MJ's are superior to the Raptors, longer reach, smoother, faster and the controls are way more simple. Plus I found out from the driver that these 22m Refuse bodies can hold up to 800 bins! The truck had 490 bins halfway through the video and the driver said there was still plenty of room in the truck. These pack more in than the huge 30m Raptors!

There are still 36 more of these GenV's still waiting to be built for Brisbane City, so possibly some Euro 5 ACCO's will be on our streets! This truck was literaly brand new with only 100 hours on it and 1700km's and had just worn in and is up to speed. Sadly I missed the greens collection, however I still saw the greens truck pass me a few times, but in the end I still filmed a GenV, my favourite truck!

BTW our new 340L recycling bin arrived after the garbage trucks came, photos of that and this truck are on Flickr under macdonaldjohnstonfan2.

  • Nice vid. Why was it that at 0:42 there was a recycling bin but at 1:18 there was a greens bin - different zones?

  • @SitaEnvironmental Thanks, all of the footage was taken in the same waste collection zone, some residents just don't know which bins go out on which weeks.

  • @macdonaldjohnstonfan Yeah, some times you never know what zone your inn unless you have cold, hard proof!!!!!!!!

  • that a nice truck...good job

  • @erikals2 white GenV that is...

  • I only wish I had a white one - would be hilarious pulling up to Coles in one just to do the shopping...

  • Hey man this is Smashthetrash34 but on my new acount , Nice footage just liked to say kinda sucks that there are only Raptors not a Single pass i guess the pase's were doing over time aye its nice to see most people have the green vegetation bin and the new recyling bin.

  • Now I just want to see those 340's being clamped by one of the Raptors... that'd be neat footage! Such an exciting period of time in Brisbane at the moment; so many trucks, bins and collections...

  • @T4799 They're actually 360L's, if you go to sulo's web site then click products then click two wheeled, and scroll down the list to 360L you'll find them there.

  • Very nice job!
