Open railway crossing near chilika railway stn(orissa)

This is a video of a moving train which is just about to cross a OPEN railway crossing.
I captured this video on 22nd Oct 2007 near Chilika railway station in Orissa. The train driver noticed the open railway crossing from about a km distance, then he stopped the train and blowed horn for no. of times. But you will watch in this video that the vehicles(truck, car, bikes) were still crossing the track unnoticely. The shocking matter is that, there was no gate at the crossing and over that not a single railway gatekeeper was present.
This incident could have caused a major accident if the train driver wouldnn't have noticed from a distance.
