  • very helpful. thanks Glen

  • Thanks much, it made me seem like a pro! Ready for use!

  • Got any ideas on how to get that O ring back on. Or do you have to replace it? Thanks for posting this video!

  • I want to thank u for this video,I bought a generac wheelhouse 5550 watt generator from craigslist, when i made it home and tried to start it again it would not. I tried everything from carb cleaner to blowing it out with my air gun nothing.. but after looking at you video i was amazed how easy it was to clean the carb my problem was the main jet u talked about i did the same thing put it back on two pulls and started right up THANKS THANKS THANKS...saved me from buying another carb....

  • Thank you for this video. My generator would only run with carb cleaner. I cleaned the carb put it all together and it ran but with the same symptom as yours, only with choke on. I missed the high speed jet! I can't wait to get back out to the garage and finish the job! Thanks again!

  • I fixed my intek 1550 carb after watching your video, the main jet in the bottom was stopped up with black stuff and gas was only about 6 mts old. Thanks very much

  • Hello, thank you so very much for this video. This young lady sat down on the ground with my laptop beside the generator the day before the hurricane and followed your instructions and it worked.!! When my lights went out the next day (they were out for 5 days) my generator started right up. Thank you so very much.

  • I just pulled the carb off last night and cleaned it. The one thing that needs to be pointed out is that o-ring seal. It's a bitch to get back on so I would recommend not to soak the lower part of the carb in a solution. I used sea foam and it certainly cleans the carb, but that o-ring rubber seal came off also. Finally got it all put back together and the generator fired on the first pull. Thanks much for the instructional video. It's saved me mucho dollars.

  • Hey man, Disregard those first 2 messages, I cleaned the carb last night and its running as good as new now.The jet was completely stopped up with a tar type substance.I took a wire brush and pulled the wires out to use to clean that jet out. This video saved me some money and headache. Im sure the shop would have charged an arm and a leg. Thanks for you videos.
