I've lived in Schenectady for the past 15 years and it's a fine place to live. There are some rough spots where yes you don't want to walk around at night...but some places, many great neighborhoods, you can walk around and feel safe at all times. Every city has it's good and bad parts...

probably the best area of Schenectady besides the stockade/Union and the GE plot, everything else is hood

I miss Schenectady sooooo much. I'm stuck in South Dakota. I can't wait to come back to Schenectady to visit.
