@wmbrown6 Mercer was one of the WGN personalities who was mercilessly mocked on a consistent basis by Steve Dahl & Garry Meier, notorious haters of the Tribune's radio and television stations. The latter did the derogatory voice imitation with an overpowering lisp thrown in for good measure. Ironically Meier now works for WGN radio!

Hahahahaha!!!! I recorded this same episode of Voyage to The Bottom of The Sea, when it aired on WGN in chicago--in 1992! This is so funny!
